A TikTok Ads MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT

Adplane connects TikTok ads to Claude and ChatGPT through MCP, the open standard that lets AI assistants work with real tools. Ask about your campaigns in plain language, get answers from live account data, then build Smart+ campaigns and Spark Ads from your own videos in the same conversation. Everything Adplane creates starts paused, so nothing spends until you turn it on. Google, Meta and Microsoft Ads are in the same connector, so one chat can cover every platform you run.

One URL, connected for good

Adplane is hosted. There is no server to run, no developer app to create, and no API review to wait for. Sign in with Google at adplane.ai, then click Connect TikTok Ads on the accounts page and sign in to TikTok For Business. You choose the ad accounts to share on TikTok's own page, and TikTok emails a verification code to the address on the ad account, so keep that inbox open. After that the connection stays on until you unlink it. In Claude, open the connector directory and click Connect. In ChatGPT, open the plugin directory and click Install plugin. Other MCP clients, including Cursor and Claude Code, add it as a custom connector with one URL: https://mcp.adplane.ai

Reporting in plain language

Ask how campaigns did last week, which ads have the lowest cost per conversion, or how TikTok compares to Meta and Google this month. Adplane runs TikTok reports at account, campaign, ad group, and ad level, across both standard and Smart+ campaigns, lists the objects in an account with their delivery status, and states the exact date range it used. Money comes back in the account currency. TikTok's numbers can take up to about 11 hours to settle, and the assistant knows to say so for today and yesterday.

Smart+ campaigns and Spark Ads

Describe a campaign for website conversions, leads, or app installs and Adplane builds it as a TikTok Smart+ campaign: the campaign, an ad group with the locations, languages, and audience you describe, and a video ad. Ads run under your TikTok account as Spark Ads, from a video you link to, a post already on the account, or a creator's post they authorized for you. A readiness check first looks at the account's status, its TikTok identities, pixels and apps, so the build does not fail halfway, and any ad can be previewed from a link before anything runs.

Safe by construction

The safety model is the same on TikTok, Meta, Microsoft and Google:

  • Created paused, always. Nothing Adplane creates can serve or spend.
  • One deliberate path to spending. A single update tool is the only way to enable anything, and it says so plainly when it does.
  • No bulk operations, guarded delete. On TikTok, removal is limited to paused campaigns that have never spent, and it refuses when the spend cannot be confirmed. Everything else is paused, which is reversible.
  • Every change read back. Adplane reports what TikTok actually stored, not what was requested.

The tools

Sixteen TikTok tools, each doing one thing: list accounts, discover report fields and values, check account readiness, search targeting, run a report, list objects, list identities, get an ad preview, upload an image, upload a video, authorize a creator's post, create a campaign, create an ad group, create an ad, update an object, and remove a never spent campaign. The Google Ads and Meta tools are described on the Google Ads MCP and Meta Ads MCP pages, and the full walkthrough with example prompts is in the docs.

Frequently asked questions

What is a TikTok Ads MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to work with outside tools and data. A TikTok Ads MCP server gives an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT a structured way to read your TikTok ad accounts and, when you ask, build and change campaigns in them. Adplane is a hosted MCP server: you connect once and the assistant does the rest.

Do I need a TikTok developer app?

No. Adplane is hosted and uses its own approved TikTok app. You sign in at adplane.ai, click Connect TikTok Ads on the accounts page, sign in to TikTok For Business and choose the ad accounts to share. TikTok emails a verification code to the address on the ad account during that step. The connection then stays on until you unlink it, with no repeat sign-in.

Can it make ads from my own videos?

Yes. Give the assistant a link to a video and Adplane adds it to your ad account's library and builds a paused Spark Ad that runs under your TikTok account. It can also use a post already on that account, or a creator's post they authorized for you with a code, and it can return a preview link so you can see the ad before it runs.

Can the AI spend money without me?

No. Everything Adplane creates starts paused, and a single update tool on each platform is the only way to enable anything. Nothing serves or spends until you explicitly ask to turn it on. On Meta, Microsoft Advertising and TikTok, deleting is limited to campaigns that have never spent; on Google, anything that has spent, or whose spend cannot be confirmed, is deleted only after you see what Adplane found and confirm. There are no bulk operations.

Which AI assistants work with Adplane?

Claude connects in one click from the Claude connector directory, and ChatGPT from the ChatGPT plugin directory. Cursor, Claude Code, and other MCP clients that support OAuth can add Adplane as a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.adplane.ai.
